  • 1 1/2 cup cake flour (sifted)

  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (room temp)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 6 tbsp brown sugar
  • 5 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 package (8oz) cream cheese
  • 2 sticks butter (8oz)
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine oil and room temperature butter until smooth; mix in sugar.
  2. Beat in egg and vanilla until combined. Gradually add cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sour cream, and milk. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the swirl. Spoon half of the batter into cupcake liners, sprinkle with cinnamon mixture, then top with remaining batter.
  4. Bake for 16 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool.
